Alexandrine Parakeet

Alexandrine Parakeet - Psittacula eupatria

Sightings:

The birds above were photographed near Kandy, Sri Lanka.  They were seen in a couple of other places too.

Notes:

They were in a group near what may be a nest hollow.  They were the largest parakeet seen in Sri Lanka, and can be told from the smaller, but similar looking Rose-ringed Parakeet, by their bill, both parts of which are pink, and the pink shoulder patches.
