These two, young ones I think, were having a tug of war over this bread roll crust after one had "killed" it!
I saw an exchange of a small lizard between two birds, 17.9.2016, and after checking sources it seems to be a courting/pair consolidation behaviour.
One bird seen bashing an eel near the creek in Templestowe in October, the first time I have seen a Kookaburra with one.
January 4, 2017: At least one bird flew several times to a knot hole in a eucalypt with small prey so no doubt feeding young as noise could be heard coming from there.
