Sightings:
Svalbard, 27.7.2012, small group of less than 10 birds.
Notes:
These birds are moulting into their winter plumage. They've been in Svalbard to breed. We'd just got close enough to start photographing and watching them when a Polar Bear appearing meant we had to leave immediately.
Apparently they spend the winter at sea further south.
