Red-rumped Parrot - Psephotus haematonotus
Sightings:
Wilson Reserve, Ivanhoe: 2016: November.
Notes:
A small grass parrot with a distinctive (and musical, for a parrot) call. The males have beautiful colouring, while the females are less striking, more camouflaged.
They are widespread in Victoria and much of New South Wales and eastern parts of South Australia.
The red rump isn't always visible, but is here.
