Yellow-rumped Thornbill - Acanthiza chrysorrhoa
Sightings:
Rawnsley Park, S.A., 12.9.2016, several birds.
Notes:
Spends time feeding on the ground, usually in small groups. It has a tinkling, easily recognised song, and the yellow rump is distinctive, as is the head pattern. Not as common round Melbourne as it used to be. Builds a dome-shaped nest.
