Southern Giant Petrel - Macronectes giganteus 

Sightings: 

Macquarie Island:  2011:   November.

Notes: 

This species can look quite different, as there is a white morph, seen above, with a more usually plumaged bird. Distinguished from the similar Northern Giant Petrel which has a flesh-coloured bill tip, by the greenish tip of the Southern Giant Petrel.
