A blog for sharing my getting to know birds as I learn from my meetings with them! These will mostly be Australian, but will include overseas birds that I meet when I travel.
The blog will just give birds added on a particular day with a page for each bird included so please look at the pages as they will have more photos and text that a post!

Straw-necked Ibis - Threskiornis spinicollis
Sightings:
Bicentennial Park Darwin, 20.7.2016, 5 birds.
Ruffey Lake Park, Doncaster: January (overhead).
Notes:
In Victoria, usually seen on farmland where they eat grubs, earning them the name of "farmer's friends".
