Sightings:
Kolyuchin Inlet, Chukotka, Russia: 2015: August.
Notes:
Care is needed in distinguishing between this species and Arctic Loons. The Pacific Loon doesn't show a large white flank patch when floating high in the water. The head and nape are pale grey, and its head is rounder.
