A blog for sharing my getting to know birds as I learn from my meetings with them! These will mostly be Australian, but will include overseas birds that I meet when I travel.
The blog will just give birds added on a particular day with a page for each bird included so please look at the pages as they will have more photos and text that a post!

Sightings:
Cairns, 27.10.2015, 5 birds. Notes:
A large migratory shorebird with a long down-curved bill. Distinguished from a Whimbrel by the longer bill and the lack of pale eyebrow.
