The 100 Acres, Park Orchards:  2016:  November. 2017:  January.

8  quite small ducklings .   The photo shows the female, but the male was bringing up the rear with a lagging duckling.

Australian Wood Ducks are seen on grass probably more often than in water.

A male taking advantage of a park bench!

The duckling has grown a lot in just over two weeks (See top photo).

For the second week in a row, I've seen this male with small ducklings and no sign of a female.

Apparently they nest in tree hollows, and all the birds seen on 12.10.2016 were standing near hollows.
