A blog for sharing my getting to know birds as I learn from my meetings with them! These will mostly be Australian, but will include overseas birds that I meet when I travel.
The blog will just give birds added on a particular day with a page for each bird included so please look at the pages as they will have more photos and text that a post!

Pacific Gull - Larus pacificus

Eaglehawk Neck, Tasmania, 13.2.2015. Notes:
Our largest gull, and distinguished from the other large gull, the Kelp Gull, by the red on both parts of the bill which is very large, and the black band on the tail.
