Cordilleran Canastero - Asthenes modesta
Sightings:
Seen at a large salt pan lake in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile.
Notes:
Canasteros are a family that we don't have in Australia, although, interestingly, the Cordilleran Canastero is a little like our Redthroat in looks and habits! This one spent most of its time moving quickly around small puddles and grass near the edge of the lake.
Beautiful little bird;-)
ReplyDeleteThey were quite attractive, thanks, Anne.
