A blog for sharing my getting to know birds as I learn from my meetings with them! These will mostly be Australian, but will include overseas birds that I meet when I travel.
The blog will just give birds added on a particular day with a page for each bird included so please look at the pages as they will have more photos and text that a post!

Great Curassow - Crux rubra
Sightings:
Costa Rica in a couple of places: 2014: January.
Notes:
Although they are large, they are fairly shy. This is the male, but the female is brown with a darker spotted head and crest. Apparently they do fly well.
