Arctic Jaeger

Arctic Jaeger - Stercorarius parasiticus

Sightings:

Iceland:  2012:  July.

Notes:

The dark morph birds were seen in Iceland on their breeding grounds.

The shape of the bird and the two short and pointed tail feathers help to identify this as an Arctic Jaeger.

They migrate south and are sometimes seen off Australia over our summer.
