Update 21.1.2017

It's sunny and still this evening with a temperature in the low 20sC.

I've just added a page for Black-crowned Night-Heron in the Overseas pages.

  1. The most cosmopolitan of herons, found on every continent except Antarctica. I will look forward to seeing them here in the spring.

    1. Actually we don't have them in Australia either, David, unless as a vagrant, but they are widespread otherwise.

    1. I'm trying to think of a European bird their size, and the best I can come up with is maybe about the same height as a Rock Dove, but not as fat, and they stand vertically, not horizontally.
